On Thursday, October 18 from 2:00pm to 6:30pm, Greater Ottawa County United Way will host the third annual Ottawa Connect event at the Salvation Army of Holland (104 Clover St. Holland, MI 49423). This event is aimed at people who are experiencing a housing crisis as well as local health and human services providers.
From 2:00-3:30pm, service providers will gather to learn about other agencies in the area with a goal of increasing cross-network referrals. From 3:30pm-6:30pm, services will be available to individuals and families who are facing homelessness or a housing crisis. Free services at this event include: housing assessments, health care enrollment, dental and medical services, employment and education services, hair cuts, family photos, recipe demonstrations and more.
