Allegan County United Way Hires New Director

 

Allegan County United Way welcomes Amanda Telgenhof as the Director of Live United Engagement. In this role, Telgenhof will manage the annual workplace campaign, the community investment process, volunteer engagement and the Imagination Library program. She will also participate in community collaborations and serve as the point of contact for Allegan County United Way.

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public and Nonprofit Administration and has been employed by Greater Ottawa County United Way for several years in the roles of Community Impact Coordinator and Campaign Manager. She is an active member of her community and graduated from the West Coast Leadership program of the Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce in 2018.

Amanda said, “I am privileged to do this work and, at the end of the day, it feels good to know that I’ve taken my intangible passion for people and community and transformed it into something real.” Amanda is excited to bring her experience and passion to this new role with Allegan County United Way.

Amanda resides in Holland with her husband and children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities, following her creative pursuits, and researching her family history.
