On Saturday, November 16 from 9:00am to noon, Greater Ottawa County United Way will host its annual Rake-A-Difference volunteer event in honor of Veteran’s Day. United Way sponsors and coordinates this event in an effort to mobilize volunteers to rake yards for local residents with physical or financial limitations.
Individuals, families, friends and groups are invited to sign up to volunteer for Rake-a-Difference. If you or someone you know needs help with raking due to physical or financial hardship—or if you wish to rake as an individual or a team—please contact Shannon LaHaie Behm by calling 616.610.1338 or sending an email to slahaie@ottawaunitedway.org.
The deadline to sign up is Friday, November 1. Volunteers will receive their assignments prior to November 16. Thank you for “raking a difference” in our community!
