VOLUNTEERS AND PROJECTS NEEDED FOR UNITED WAY’S ANNUAL DAY OF CARING

On Thursday, September 19, Greater Ottawa County United Way will host its annual Day of Caring, an event that connects groups of volunteers with nonprofit organizations in Ottawa County to complete much-needed projects at their facilities. More than 1,200 volunteers helped with 45 projects throughout the county during Day of Caring in September 2018.

Does your company or organization have a group who would like to volunteer? Does your nonprofit organization have a project for a group of volunteers? Volunteer teams and projects are needed. Team and agency forms are due by Friday, August 9. For more information, go to http://www.ottawaunitedway.org/day-caring or contact Shannon LaHaie, slahaie@ottawaunitedway.org or call (616) 396-7811 x206.

Thank you to A.D Bos Vending Services and Tyson Foods, who will provide lunch for the Day of Caring volunteers, and thank you to Camp Geneva for providing the location for the volunteer lunch.
